Line Works

Line Works single sign-on

The proliferation of cloud and on-premises applications has dramatically increased the number of enterprise applications used in workplaces. While these applications often provide vital services, they also usually require credentials to use. Expecting employees to remember a separate username and password for every application places a heavy burden on them, and often results in a huge volume of password reset calls to the help desk team.

Wouldn’t it be great if employees could simply log in to all their corporate apps using just one set of credentials?

ADSelfService Plus is a self-service password management and single sign-on (SSO) solution that connects Line Works with your on-premises Active Directory (AD) to offer secure SSO. When employees attempt to access their Line Works account, ADSelfService Plus authenticates them using their AD domain credentials and automatically logs them in to Line Works.

ADSelfService Plus provides SSO for all SAML-enabled applications. SSO App Catalog.

How does it work?

ADSelfService Plus offers AD-based SSO for Line Works and all Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)-enabled enterprise applications.

Upon enabling SSO for Line Works in ADSelfService Plus, all employees have to do is log in to their Windows machines using their AD domain credentials. Once logged in, users can securely access Line Works in one click without having to reenter their username and password.

Control Line Works access via OU and group-based policies

Create multiple OU and group-based policies and granularly control who can access what enterprise applications, including Line Works, through ADSelfService Plus’ enterprise SSO. For example, you can create a policy P1 that offers access to sales application in the Sales OU, and another policy P2 that offers access to marketing applications in the Marketing OU.

Improve security by combining SSO with endpoint/application MFA

ADSelfService Plus allows IT admins to add a second factor of authentication to secure endpoint and application access. So when users log in to their Windows/macOS machines or ADSelfService Plus’ console, they are authenticated first using their Windows Active Directory credentials, and next through any of the supported authentication factors including SMS/email verification codes, RSA SecurID, Duo Security, fingerprint authentication, etc.
