How to migrate Endpoint Central server installation from one drive/location to another within the same computer?

Description

This document will provide you the steps to migrate the Endpoint Central Server from one drive/location to another within the same computer.

Note:

Caution!

  1. You should not download a fresh EXE from the website and install in the new computer, you should only copy the installation directory to the new location.
  2. After migration, ensure that the patch and software repositories are reachable/accessible from the Endpoint Central server. 

Steps

  1. Stop the Endpoint Central Server before starting the migration process. To check if the server has stopped, go to task manager and ensure that no processes are running from Endpoint Central folder.
  2. Copy the entire Endpoint Central server folder from the old location and paste it in the new location.
  3. Navigate to <Installation_Dir>\conf in the new location and delete ws.modtime file.
  4. Run command prompt as administrator, execute command runOnceAsAdmin.bat from the location <Installation_Dir>\bin.
  5. Start  the Endpoint Central Server. 

You have successfully migrated Endpoint Central server from one drive/location to another within the same computer.
