AdventNet Lowers Cost of Ownership for Its NetFlow Analyzer Enterprise Edition

PLEASANTON, California, November 13, 2007

AdventNet Inc., the leading provider of enterprise IT management software today announced the immediate availability of lower end variants of its NetFlow Analyzer Enterprise Edition software at $9,995. NetFlow Analyzer Enterprise Edition, which is priced based on the number of interfaces being monitored, has the 1000 interface license as the entry point. The newly introduced 250 and 600-interface license packs aim at lowering the entry barrier for even enterprises with fewer devices that are distributed geographically.

NetFlow Analyzer is a web-based bandwidth monitoring tool that collects Cisco NetFlow®, sFlow®, IPFIX® and Cisco NBAR® data exported from routing devices, to analyze network traffic and report on bandwidth usage across the network. With instant real-time bandwidth usage reports on top applications, conversations, and hosts using bandwidth, NetFlow Analyzer gives valuable insight into bandwidth usage in the enterprise without the complexity and expense involved in deploying hardware probes.

The Enterprise Edition comprises of a central reporting engine and multiple flow collectors, which can be deployed at strategic points to provide a centralized view of the network. It is the only all-software solution available in the market that can scale up to the monitoring needs of large enterprises. The Enterprise Edition is capable of monitoring up to 40,000 interfaces and up to 100,000 flow records per second on a single central server. Since the product download is available for a free 30-day trial, the evaluation process too is extremely simple.

"We are delighted with the capabilities of NetFlow Analyzer and the ease with which network device interfaces can be managed or unmanaged. The direct drill-down features for any given device and/or interface being monitored are very convenient. Most significant, in my estimation, is the prompt, courteous and highly technically proficient Technical and Engineering support we have received during our product evaluation process. AdventNet has a good thing going and is extremely competitive," says Denny Gagne an IT Analyst in County of Placer.

"The strong demand for the Enterprise Edition among customers who had distributed networks with fewer than 1000 interfaces led us to introduce these lower entry points," said Jayakumar Karumbasalam, Development Manager at AdventNet. "Our expertise in having served thousands of enterprise customers will keep us in good stead going forward," he added.
