Color Palette

Color Palettes

Color Palettes are a collection of colors that allow you to customize and beautify your charts. Analytics Plus offers a variety of color palettes to choose from. By default, when you create a chart, the colors assigned to your chart are those that are set for the corresponding workspace. You can also add your own color palettes to suit your reporting requirements.

To access chart palettes in Analytics Plus, click the Settings button from the side panel, and navigate to the Chart colors tab.

Chart palette types supported in Analytics Plus

By default, Analytics Plus offers three types of color palettes. You can also create your own palette by defining a set of colors to be applied to your charts, instead of manually assigning chart colors every time. Click here to create a new color palette.

The following are the default color palettes present in Analytics Plus:

Solid Color

The Solid Color palette is a collection of plain solid colors, with a maximum of 32 colors in a palette. The ManageEngine Analytics Plus Default palette will be selected as the default set.

Monochrome

The monochrome palette is differentiated by tones and tints of the same color applied for different legend items in a chart.

Gradient

The Gradient palette represents a list of colors that represent a gradual shift from one color to another.

Pattern

The Pattern palette allows you to fill your charts with specific patterns.

Applying a color palette

By default, the ManageEngine Analytics Plus palette will be applied across all your charts. To change this, click the Settings button from the side panel and navigate to the Chart Colors tab. Select your required palette, and click the Save & Close button. The selected palette will now be set as the default palette and will be automatically applied to new charts.

To reflect the change in color palette to existing charts, navigate to the required palette and click the More Actions icon that appears on mouse over. Select the Apply to All option, and click Save. This will apply the colors from the palette to all existing charts in the workspace. This is an irreversible action.

You can also set color palettes to charts individually. Open a chart and select the Settings icon from the chart's toolbar. Navigate to the Legend tab and choose a color palette of your choice. You can also modify the colors of individual sections of the chart using the Colors section.

Working with chart palettes

Analytics Plus allows you to modify existing chart palettes, duplicate them and delete any unwanted ones. You can also create custom color palettes.

Select the Duplicate option, provide a name for the duplicated color palette, and click OK.
